A documentation of an experience, a preservation of memories— Closely Acquainted explores cooking as a way to connect with others and the kitchen as a place to facilitate conversation. This publication, while using the visual language of a cookbook, intertwines recipes and photographs from a collaborative cooking experience along with personal handwritten accounts from friends who attended.
Lino-cut block prints inspired by the publication were also created on repurposed placemats.
